We are very happy to announce that El Paso County Public Health and Nomi Health will be providing mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinics on campus. The clinics are free and open to all students, faculty and staff.
Vaccination clinics scheduled:
PPCC is working with El Paso County Public Health and Nomi Health to schedule free clinics. These clinics are open to any member of the PPCC community and the public:
The clinics are walk in, but you may sign up for an appointment in advance at the links below:
Tuesday, Jan. 25, 1-6 p.m.
PPCC Centennial Campus Atrium (registration is open)
Friday, Feb. 4, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
PPCC Rampart Range Atrium (registration is open)
Vaccines: the clinics will offer the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
Booster Shots: Booster shots will also be available at these clinics.
Gift Cards: PPCC will continue to offer students and employees $50 gift cards through Feb. 4. To receive a gift card, you must be a currently enrolled student or employee. Eligible students and employees will receive $50 after each shot of the two-dose vaccines, or $100 if you receive the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. We will also provide a $50 gift card for booster shots. Please bring your PPCC ID card and your vaccine card. We will not be able to provide after Feb. 4.
Vaccines: The clinics will offer the Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines (as these are available).
Getting vaccinated and boosted are the most important things you can do to ensure that PPCC can operate safely and in-person. The vaccine protects you and others, and it protects the College’s ability to fulfill our mission of student success.
The vaccines provided at the mobile clinics will qualify students, faculty and staff for the $50 incentive gift cards, as long as supplies last. Gift cards will be distributed at the vaccine clinics, and also at Human Resource Services (B-200). A current PPCC ID card will be required.
Please note that those under the age of 18 will need parental consent for the vaccine. If those under 18 have not preregistered, and attend without a parent, they must call a parent to provide consent.
Students and employees who have elected the testing protocol, PPCC will accept any test approved by the FDA.
Anyone interested in obtaining a COVID test can check the El Paso County Public Health website for testing locations.
You can order four FREE at-home test kits from the USPS.
The college is offering self-administered Binax NOW tests at the following times and locations to assist with obtaining testing. Please plan to spend 20-30 minutes for testing, as you must time your test for 15 minutes before recording your results.
The last tests at each location will be distributed 15 minutes prior to the end of the scheduled time. Please upload your test results using The PPCC Testing Registry https://cccscovid.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bIXnAyexRPJsRAW.
If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, please stay off campus and seek medical advice.
COVID-19 Positive Test Reporting Protocol:
Students and employees who test positive for COVID-19 must stay off campus and complete this reporting form.
The Pandemic Response Team (PRT) will continue to communicate with faculty and supervisors about confirmed positive COVID-19 tests, confirmed diagnoses, and those who fail to comply with protocols.
In on-campus student cases, the PRT will continue to direct effected classes to monitor symptoms.
In employee cases, Human Resource Services will continue to communicate with the employee and supervisor.
